Install Labelme as App

You need to be a Starter or Pro member to access the full content of this.

If you have Labelme Starter or Pro, you can simply download Labelme as app:

  • Labelme.exe for Windows,
  • Labelme.app for macOS,
  • Labelme executable for Linux.

Download the app

NOTE: We supports OS versions that are not EOL (End of Life). See for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Download the app for your operating system. (sign-in required 🔒)

Installation steps for Windows (installer)

  1. Download the installer and extract the zip file: 'Extract All...'.

  2. Run Labelme.msi in the extracted folder.

  3. Open the Labelme.exe from the Start menu.

  4. (Optional) Customize the config by editing ~/.labelmerc.

Installation steps for Windows (portable exe)

  1. Download the portable exe and extract the zip file: 'Extract All...'.

  2. Open the extracted folder and run Labelme-portable.exe.

  3. (Optional) Customize the config by editing labelmerc in the same folder.

Installation steps for macOS

  1. Check if your mac is with Intel chip or Apple Silicon, and download the corresponding installer.

  2. Extract the zip file to a Labelme.dmg opening with 'Archive Utility.app'.

  3. Open the dmg file and move Labelme.app to the Applications folder.

  4. Open the Labelme.app from the Applications folder.

  5. (Optional) Customize the config by editing ~/.labelmerc.
