FIXv7.0.3·July 11, 2026·1 min read

Deleting from the annotation list no longer crashes your next shape

Fixed a crash where deleting an annotation from the list's right-click menu brought the app down on the next shape you drew (a v7 regression; v6.x never saw it). AI polygon output also stops emitting degenerate two-point "polygons" for razor-thin detections, alongside a handful of smaller robustness fixes; the release notes have the full list.

Update from the download page.

Switching draw modes mid-shape, without the crash

A three-click sequence used to crash Labelme whenever you changed draw modes mid-shape. v6.3.1 fixes it, and stops empty shapes (zero-area rectangles, zero-length lines, single-point polygons) from getting saved into your annotation files.
